Antique Sound Labs MG-Head OTL Headphone Amplifier

You are bidding on ONE ASL MG-Head OTL Amplifier in excellentto near-mint condition. The only fault on this amp is that the screws for the amp cage are stripped, but the cage still stays in place when the screws are inserted. Since the cage will be off most of the time anyway, this really isn't a problem. I purchased this amp in late November of 2003 and used it with my Sennhesier HD600's. Since I've sold my headphones to upgrade my rig, this amp is being replaced by an ASL MG-Head OTL32.

The MG-Head is an excellent OTL. It has a wonderful warm sound renowned by headphone users. It's a fantasatic little amp with a pricetag well below it's performance.

This is the MG Head MKI, produced in 2002. The MKI is known to have QC problems, but mine has NO such problems what-so-ever. The only difference bettween the MKI and MKII is the MKII's outboard PSU.

This is a great unit, you will not be dissapointed. In addition to the stock Sovtek tube set that came with the amp, I'm also including a few more tubes for you to do some tube rolling with.
  1. Early Russian EL84s, box included; batch unknown, however, sound VERY good when I used them with a Sylvania GB-5751 (Sylvania not included)
  2. GE 5-Star 5751

  4. Mullard 12ax7, box included
