Official NX10 & CX8 Reviews & Full Comparison Well, after buying an NX10 system on eBay through the great deal that matheis stumbled upon, I found myself with two bookshelf systems, the new NX10 and my slightly older CX8 that I purchased in October of 2002. I had no idea which system would be better, nor did I know what the great capabilities that each system had. NX10 Initial Impressions The unit itself is very slim, at most two to three inches (I have no clue how much that is in the metric system, probably 4-5 centimeters). The unit has a nice, sleek design, that's plain and simple. A Rectangular body of brushed aluminum with a large, well-lit rectangular lcd display. The amp, which unlike the CX8, is separate from the main unit, is contained in its own housing. This is one of the real neat parts about the NX10. The amp’s input terminal is a standard RCA connection, which means that with the proper 3.5 mm -> RCA plug cable, anything can be amplified and outputted through standard speaker cable.
